During a family fishing trip in Ohio four days ago, a young kid went missing, and his mother is praying for his safe return.

On Saturday, 7-year-old Lucas Rosales and his family were out fishing close to Eastwood MetroPark when he vanished, according to the Dayton Police Department (DPD). He vanished that night about 6:40 p.m. local time.

Amanda told the newspaper, “I just want to hold him, that’s the first thing.” “I wish I could hold him in my arms. That is my child. All I want to do is hold him. He needs to be held because I want to keep him warm and secure.

On Tuesday, the DPD said that searchers were still looking for Lucas between Eastwood MetroPark and the Harshman Road area.

The department stated in a statement that it has so far searched more than 400 acres of land and water, including stretches of the Mad River and the Great Miami River.

The Dayton Fire Department’s (DFD) on-water search activities “have been suspended,” the DPD noted.

While the search continues elsewhere, a number of departments and organizations, such as Texas EquuSearch and the City of Dayton’s Department of Water, are still lending their assistance.

Amanda and the rest of Lucas’ family are anxiously awaiting information from authorities in the meantime.

Although he loves sharks, Amanda’s son is frightened of the ocean, she told. She wants to find Lucas alive.

She told the source, “If he’s chilly, I’m going to wrap him up and I’m going to hold him when we find him.
The hunt for Lucas has been put on hold due to higher water levels in the Mad River. The DPD stated that as the water level starts to recede, it will join the DFD “downstream of the dammed area later this week.”

According to the DPD, rainfall-related water flow in the river “has nearly doubled” in recent days.
