Levi Wright, the Brave little Cowboy

Levi Wright, a three-year-old boy and the beloved son of rodeo star Spencer Wright, has tragically passed away. Levi’s young life was cut short due to a traumatic brain injury he sustained from a near-drowning incident on May 21.

It was a typical day for Levi as he was driving his favorite tractor toy, but an unexpected accident occurred, and he fell into a nearby river. Local law enforcement found Levi unconscious about a mile downstream. He was immediately rushed to the Salt Lake City hospital where he received immediate medical attention.

Levi’s initial prognosis was grim, as he was declared brain dead. However, he surprised everyone by showing signs of improvement. His mother, Kallie Wright, joyfully shared the news on Facebook, “LEVI WOKE UP! I am shook, we don’t know much but the doctor said it was okay for me to get excited about that and I AM! My baby is so tough!”

Despite this glimmer of hope, the subsequent MRI results were not positive. Kallie shared, “We’re shattered, but the images only suggest a certain quality of life. Our true indication of Levi’s condition will be seen over the next few days.”

The entire community rallied around Levi and his family during this difficult time, offering prayers and support. Sadly, after much contemplation and consulting with medical professionals, the heartbroken family had to make the agonizing decision to take Levi off life support.

Mindy Sue Clark, a close friend of the family, confirmed the devastating news of Levi’s passing. She expressed the immense pain they have endured over the past two weeks but also highlighted the miracles they witnessed during that time. “In a world so dark, we got to see light at the hands of a child. He’s everything his mom and dad could have wanted him to be.”

Levi’s passing is an immeasurable loss, and our hearts go out to the Wright family. We can find solace in knowing that Levi touched the lives of many during his short time on earth. His bravery and the love he inspired will forever be remembered.

Let us all remember Levi as the brave little cowboy who moved mountains and brought people together. Rest in peace, Levi.
