Disturbing Incident at NFL Game

A shocking incident recently occurred at an NFL game that has left many people outraged. According to a distraught mother, her eight-year-old daughter, Mia DeCamilla, who is a cancer survivor, was pushed down the stairs by a group of drunken fans. The incident took place during the Buffalo Bills vs San Francisco 49ers game on December 1.

Mia’s mother, Mikey, took to social media to express her frustration and shared a photo of Mia holding a sign that reads: “I BEAT CANCER! MY FIRST NFL GAME!” In her Facebook post, Mikey explained the situation: “Sadly we left earlier than planned. Yes, the Niners are losing, but unfortunately we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decides it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight-year-old daughter Warrior Mia DeCamilla down the stairs, in section 312!”

This heartbreaking incident quickly went viral, drawing attention to the behavior of some NFL fans. The online community has criticized the Bills fans involved in the incident and expressed their support for Mia and her family.

In a show of solidarity, a GoFundMe page that was previously set up to support Mia’s battle against cancer has resurfaced. The page aims to alleviate the financial burden on the family and has already raised close to $34,000. Mia was diagnosed with childhood undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver in January 2022 and went through four months of chemotherapy, followed by a 12-hour surgery to remove her liver tumor. After eight weeks of additional chemotherapy, she reached remission on July 25th.

The DeCamilla family, including Mia’s parents who are Marine Corps veterans, greatly appreciates the support they have received. Mia has shown incredible strength and bravery throughout her cancer journey, and the outpouring of love and prayers from the community is a source of comfort during this difficult time.

Let’s Come Together

It is disheartening that incidents like these occur, tarnishing the experience for fans attending their favorite teams’ games. Let’s remember that sports events should be a place of joy, unity, and friendly competition. As football fans, we should stand up against this type of behavior and promote a more inclusive and respectful environment for everyone, regardless of their age or background.

In addition, let’s continue to support Mia DeCamilla and her family during her ongoing recovery. They have faced numerous challenges and demonstrated incredible resilience. By spreading awareness and contributing to their GoFundMe campaign, we can make a difference in their lives and help them through this difficult journey once again.
