Chef Gordon Ramsay recently had a terrifying biking accident that left him severely bruised. In a social media post over Father’s Day weekend, the famous chef shared his ordeal and emphasized the importance of wearing a helmet.
Ramsay urged all dads to wear a helmet and shared a picture of his enormous bruise. He recounted the incident, saying, “This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I’m doing ok and did not suffer any major injuries, but I am a bit bruised up, looking like a purple potato.”
The chef expressed his gratitude towards the doctors, nurses, and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who took care of him. However, he stated that he was most thankful for his helmet, which saved his life.
In a video posted by Ramsay, he emphasized the importance of wearing a helmet, regardless of how short the journey may be or the cost of the helmet. He mentioned that although he is lucky to be standing there, the week had been brutal and he was still in pain.
Fans of Ramsay flooded his post with well wishes and gratitude for spreading awareness about helmet safety. They were relieved that he didn’t suffer more serious injuries.
